Recent Buys

Teardrop Sheer Peplum Blouse, Navy Blazer - H&M / Grey Collared Shirt, White Patterned Blouse, Black Waterfall Blazer, Black Pointy Flats, Black Chunky Heels - Primark / Black Peplum Top, Cream Batwing Sleeve Top - New Look / Black Chunky Sandals - Amazon / White Collared Peplum Shirt - Asos

While being away from blogging doing exams, I've bought quite a lot of things that I haven't shown on my blog before. So today I thought I'd show you some of the things I've bought recently.

I absolutely love this navy blazer which I bought from H&M a couple of days ago, its a really nice soft silky material. When I got to the till it was reduced down to £10 which is amazing because of the quality, I was prepared to pay a lot more. I also got a matching blue pencil skirt which I forgot to take a photo of but I'm sure you can all imagine what one looks like ahaa! H&M has to be my favourite retailer by far at the moment.

I really love everything I bought but I won't bore you with long paragraphs about each item, hopefully the photos speak for themselves. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to catch up on Breaking Bad. I've been seriously addicted to this programme lately!

June Wishlist

I have one more exam to go and then my 12 weeks of summer begins! I've been revising so hard over the past few months so I can't wait to finally finish. As my last exam is on friday I thought I'd take the afternoon off and do some blogging.

Recently I've really been liking the look of peplum tops. I bought a black high neck peplum top from New Look  a couple of weeks back and love how flattering it is on the figure. So I'm tempted to buy these gorgeous ones from Asos for the summer when I want to wear something nice and loose fitting.

Ripped jeans are something I've wanted for quite a while now, they look amazing with a tan and I'm a big fan of the ripped knees. I know its silly buying a pair with rips in already when I can get a normal pair and rip them myself, which is what I will probably do.

Another item I've been lusting after is this stunning black v-neck cami jumpsuit. I was in New Look the other week and spotted it, however I couldn't find it in my size. Its a really nice chiffon material though and would be a great item to style.

Black block heel sandals in my opinion are one of the most versatile types of shoe. They'd look amazing dressed down with denim ripped jeans, but also dressed up in the evening.

Now onto the types of shoes you're either gonna love or hate, i'm talking big chunky gladiator style shoes. I've wanted a pair for quite a while and decided I want this particular style. I like the fact that they don't go above the ankle so can be worn easily with jeans and dresses. They remind of my 'Jesus' shoes (what my sister refers to them as!) which I bought last year from Asos, but I personally prefer these because of the chunky heel.

And finally something I've been on the hunt for for such a long time, a black kimono. Every single one I find is too sheer and I want a more opaque thick one. If you have seen or bought one recently please let me know, I think its such a timeless piece to have in your wardrobe.

So that is my wishlist of the month, I'm sure there are a million more things I want, mainly anything black and white though ahaa! I'm just obsessed with the whole minimalistic look at the moment, I cant imagine going back to wearing colour for quite a while! I'm thinking of doing a minimalistic inspiration post too if that's something you'd like to see. Oh god I've wrote so much, congratulations if you've got to the end of this. Its must be because I haven't blogged for such a long time, and have so much to say!

The Things We Lost In The Fire Fire Fire

Textured Black and White Top - Peacocks / Jeans, Loafers - Primark / Gold Penny Necklace - Topshop / Ring - Dorothy Perkins

I'm seriously loving the minimalistic look at the moment and this outfit fits perfectly into that style. I really want to start fresh with my wardrobe and start buying key items that I can really mix and match! I'm obsessed with the Olsen twins style at the moment, which is odd because I'm not normally someone who looks for inspiration from celebrities. I'll probably have a wishlist coming up soon with some minimalistic style items I'm on the hunt for.

I recently found out I got a place at Fashion Retail Academy which I'm ecstatic about. I went for the interview a couple of weeks ago and knew it was the perfect place for me, I felt so relaxed and met some really nice people. So excited now about the prospect of studying something I'm really interested in for the next two years!

How I'd Style:

These are one of my favourite posts to do and I feel like I haven't done one in ages! Again I've somehow chosen the majority of the items from Topshop, but they always seem to have what I want.

I decided to base this outfit around these gorgeous block heeled sandals from Dorothy Perkins. I came across them the other day and I've fallen in love with them. They'd be the perfect summer shoes and would go with just about anything e.g. skinny jeans, dresses and skirts. I chose for this look to go with a pair of mom jeans because they just look perfect with heels. For this outfit I was trying to go with the minimalistic look without being too boring so I chose a white panel shirt and some simple silver rings.

Found Yourself A Path Upon The Ground

Coat, Fluffy Jumper and Skirt - Primark / Brown Belt - H&M / Cut Out Ankle Boots - New Look / Casio Watch - The Watch Hut* / Turtle Silver Necklace - Delilah Dust*

This is definitely a typical Hollie outfit, I feel so comfortable wearing dark colours. I bought this skirt recently because I don't own an black skirts and when i got to the till it was only £1! It such a nice material and I love the texture of it. I decided to pair it with my fluffy jumper because I haven't worn it in so long and a brown belt.

Lace And Pastel

Lace Collared Black Dress - Persun Mall* / Green Pastel Coat - Choies* / Casio Watch - The Watch Hut* / Cut Out Boots - New Look via Asos*

I recently received this gorgeous LBD from Persun Mall and I loveee it, the lace collar is just gorgeous! I was really surprised on how thick and good quality the material is and I can tell I'll be wearing it a lot. I think it would look really nice casually with a leather jacket and ankle boots, or really smart and sophisticated with a blazer. Today, I decided to style it with my lovely pastel green coat and I really like how the pastel and lace go together.

The only negative thing I would say about Persun Mall though is the shipping. This dress took weeks to come but I did order it around Chinese New Year, when they took a break from shipping orders to celebrate. Saying this though they have some amazing unique pieces and if you've never checked their website out I really recommend it. It's one of those websites I'd order from if I really liked something but didn't need it to come in time for a specific occasion.

Delilah Dust Jewellery

Aren't these necklaces just adorable? I was kindly sent them by Delilah Dust recently and I love them, especially the Turtle one. I think they would be nice to wear separately but would also look great layered with other necklaces as they are quite small and dainty. I'm sure you'll be seeing them in some outfit posts soon.

If you haven't heard of Delilah Dust before, it is basically a jewellery company which two sisters Atonia and Dominique Mackenzielaunched in 2011. As well as necklaces they also sell gorgeous rings, bracelets and iPhone cases. Apart from these necklaces, my favourite products on the site are the druzy necklaces. I personally think the jewellery is very affordable, so if your on the hunt for some new jewellery, I'd really recommend Delilah Dust.

Onto some exciting news for me, I've got an interview at FRA! If you read my last post you'll know I applied for a course there so I'm really excited but nervous. Fingers-crossed the interview goes well and I get a place!
